Women and Shaving....
I seriously think I'm becoming a no-life moron with every passing day as a working "adult"
Another weekend with nothing more exciting than rotting at home on my "To-Do" list... so I started surfing crap websites to kill some time...
Reading up hollywood gossips at www.IDontLikeYouInThatWay.com and I realise that quite some of female celebrities like to wear really short skirts and dun wear anything underneath (and show their privates to the whole world)....

NUS splashdown 2006
Went for the annual NUS splashdown yesterday!
Hmmm...think about 300+ people took part... imagine so many people in one pool!!!!
Anyway, I went with the RP Lifesaving students, and we all swam in the same lane...
I dunno how mnay laps I swam but I think about 110 like that ba... but the poeple counting the lanes miscounted for alot of ppl in my lane... my dear swam abt 140+ but end up with only 106 laps, I think they only gave me abt 79 laps....sigh, quite a disappointment, I mean we swam so hard we want to know the exact laps ma....
oh well....
Anyway, that wasnt the main point of this blog...
Something incredibly GROSS happened during the swim....
The swim is actually an obstacle swim, meaning we need to clear two obstacle every 50m of the swim.
QUite some of the swimmers in my lane cant clear the obstacle "nicely"? This obstacle swim is actually one of the event in the lifesaving still water competition so people who didnt train with such obstacle might have some problem clearing it.
So what happened was, there's this guy who was before me about to clear the obstacle. He took quite a while to start clearing it.... after I see him clear it under water, I start to surface dive in to clear the obstacle as well....
and IT happened when I start to break surface....
That guy in front of me took a super loonnnggg time to break surface and so when I was at the bottom of the pool, feet planted on the ground and hands stretched in front of me and then push off the ground.....
my fingers Poked right into that guy's privates... at the time when he spread his legs wide doing his breastroke kick.....
EEeeewwwwwwwww.........
OKie, it was partly my fault for not checking if the place I'm going to break surface was clear....
Later I had to check everytime I had to break surface.... sometimes I had to wait for quite a while before there's space for me to come up....
Other than checking before I break surface, I've also learnt something else... to swim over people... haha
I'm always very polite and nice when I swim one... ppl in front, even during a race, I will give way one lor... but yesterday, I juz cannot wait cuz they are taking too long a time!!
Swimming over people is quite fun actually...haha, it is always me that is always kena swam over one lor....
I think my lane are mostly the weaker swimmers so tat's the reason why I can learn this bad habit to swim over them. Just squeeze my way through, force ppl to other side and fight for space for me to swim...haha....I think this will come in handy next tiem I go for biathlon competitions....no more nice nice Jenny, let you cut all you want...

Anyone want to order Birkenstock Papillio 2007 Collection?
Had wanted to buy my first pair of birkenstock this year but ALL the GERS are wearing the same model that I want so I decided to wait till the new collection to buy mine.
Don't want to wear what others had been wearing for so long... >=(
The Birkenstock Papillio Sprint/Summer Collection is out and can order liao!!! Excited!!! BUt hor order now can only get in Dec la.... I still want...
Anyway want to order with me or not? Cuz I need another 1 or 2 pairs more to get free shipping. Think one pair of Madrid should be around $70 bucks but I dunno got any extra charges, tax or wat but dun think will hit over $75.
I'm going to order latest 21st Sept lor, once I get enough friends to order with me I will order liao... heehee.... then will wait till christmas to get my birkenstock!!! Xmas present for myself!!

The Crocodile Hunter
I realise something weird in my msn list...
Only today I found out that people are putting this in their msn nick as a memorial to the Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin. I dunno who started it but I dun understand why the turtle...hmph...
I was pretty sad when I read the news that he was killed by a stingray. As an animal lover, I really enjoyed his shows. I admire his passion for the wildlife and his dedication in educating people abt these animals.
Talk abt the cat family... I was on my way home yesterday then I saw this grey cat, so I went to sayang him...he was enjoying himself then after he enjoy enough he started jumping up and showing me his claws... stupid cat... got two scratches on my hand now...
Anyway, about Steve Irwin, he is loved by many.....

Dear dear told me that now Nanyang Chronicle has this column that features NTU students that look like celebrity.
Then he said tat there's this ger who looked like Barbie Hsu
And then dear dear said that that ger look like me too!!
Orh... Now I have to see the picture liao...
hmph... I not very convinced that that ger and I look alike le...
Well, quite some people had mentioned that I look abit like Barbie Hsu but I seriously dun see much resemblance between me and her...
So dear dear "dare" me to put in my blog and ask ppl if they think I look like her...
But I cant seem to find any photo that I think look like her...
So this is the best I could come up with...
Okie I know my pictures are not exactly the most glam pics la... but what can you expect from a ger whom ppl think is "half boy half ger"??

Was doing some marking on yesterday's lesson, then a student mentioned about being right brainer and how computing is more suitablef or left brainers... so I decided to go find a little quiz to do on it...
Left brainers usually more the mathematical, logical kinda ppl and right brainers more of the actistic, creative people I think???
Looks like I'm almost in the middle, slightly more right brained than left...?
I think I could describe myself alittle from both descriptions.
Then there's this site that talks about the learning style of right brainers and left brainers.
Linear VS Holistic Processing
The left side of the brain processes information in a linear manner. It process from part to whole. It takes pieces, lines them up, and arranges them in a logical order; then it draws conclusions.
The right brain, however, processes from whole to part, holistically. It starts with the answer. It sees the big picture first, not the details. If you are right-brained, you may have difficulty following a lecture unless you are given the big picture first. You're the student who needs to know why you are doing something.
I think I'm more right here because I totally hate learning some topics until I know why am I learning them!! And I love to look at big pictures first and not the details!!!

Oooh, my sweetie is DEFINITELY a left brainer!!! He LOVES to plan his days and takes pleasure in completing his tasks.
Now I think I really more right brain dominant liao, I have to do many things at a time and I ABSOLUTELY have to HIGHTLIGHT my notes!!! Nicole they all always joke abt my materials science text, ask me go highlight my whole book... cuz if I dun highlight it, I just cant see the words...somehow....

365 Days with him...
I just celebrated my First Year Anniversary with my sweetie.
Since it fell on a working day, we didnt had much time to do much on that day. It was a very long day for me at work and by the time I was suppose to knock off, I am a very hungry and unhappy woman. *sigh*
Sweetie was nice to me, he treated me to NYDC, the wheelock one which also happen to the place where our first official date took place, he tahan-ed my shopping and bought one dress and one top for me. Though we didnt get to do much, we were very tired... sigh
Then today I went over to dear's place... he have a surprise for me!!
A bouquet of blue roses... 
Sweetie also gave me a card tat gives 100 reasons why he love me!!!
Reason why he was wearing that blue cap is because it's National Life Saving Competition!! Will write about it another time...
Anyway, I had started taking classes recently and giving daily grades are really hard, especially the giving of comments to individual students. Can be quite tedious... but I quite like this idea of giving comments to students individually as it give a more personal touch.
Just a thought,

Month of July!!
Okie, I've neglected my blog again...
Been kinda busy....
Anyway...I've juz celebrated my 23rd Birthday!! 
FRIENDS!!! Season 1 to 10!!! haha... Always been a huge fan, but I nevre watched it on tv before... I only watch it for the first time when I was in Uni lor...haha
Havent finish chiong-ing my CSI season 4 lor...
On the eve of my bday, my dad treated the whole family + dear dear dinner at a resturant at Jurong east. there was a wedding dinner going on as well and I actually know the groom! He's a secondary school mate, same age as me...in fact I was in charge of his class when I was a prefect! haha...
Dear dear came to my place in the morning to have breakfast with me on my birthday, then we went out in the afternoon to bugis to shop a while before handing to the NTU alumni club house at buona vista for my school's grad nite dinner.
I bought a dress from mphosis, a pair of heels from DMK and a necklace from Jo's Craft!!! I cannot keep spending like that le...will really eat grass one...
The MSE grad nite was pretty fun... there's another ger same birthday as me...same day same year and same course as me le!!!
Catch up with the girls too!!
Sweetie was with me there also!
Then I had my convocation on 28th July!!
Then I was left with two bags and a very late boyfriend...want to cry already lor...everyone got someone, and see ppl got flower got bear bear, I dun have anything...except a pair of seriously painful feet (wearing stupid heels!!)
After a while dear dear came...and I said I wanted a bear bear also...
then he brought me downstairs and let me choose one...
Chose one bear with a flat flat face...haha.... his name is LATE LATE....cuz my bf came late! haha.... got bear bear I feel happier la... took all my photos with it!!
Heehee, realise I didnt wear my mortar board in all the pics?
I think I look really silly wearing it lor...haha

A while back, I bought the "Good Morning" towel....cuz I forgot to bring towel for my sentosa training....
This towel is most commonly seen in hair salon...
This towel has been there for as long as I can remember...and this was wat my pastor said abt this "Good Morning" towel....

NUS Invitational
Yesterday was the NUS invitational Lifesaving Championship!!
Wah, never see so many teams before neh....
anyway, this year I'm representing SSTA (Singapore Swimming Teacher Association), STA for short.... 
And introducing my new "darlings"....
Very proud of them.... didnt had much time to prepare for this race but I think they did a GREAT job....
Oh....and I got me a pair of FIN!!!!
This is my first pair of flippers lor.... it's split fin....suppose to be more gentle on the ankle I think....heehee.... LIKE IT!!!
Orh, for those people who dunno hor.... there are fin-ing events in lifesaving competitions lor.... I not into scuba dive or snorkelling la.... although I did enjoyed the last snorkelling experience at tioman!

4) 12m Line Throw VICTIM!!! (Got 1st le)

very siong le the super lifesaver, was comtemplating not taking part cuz I dunno why I have problem towing manikin now. I was pretty comfortable a while back... guess I too tired lately...needa train more!!!
This is the manikin tat we tow in competition....looks light hor.... but it's not lor when it's fully filled with water....it's abt 45kg!!!! goodness!!! imagine me 47kg towing a 45kg with only half a torso?!!!
Anyway, I saw my two penang-trip roomies last year!!!
Nicole is now the NTU lifeguard Vice President liao...then Violet arh... she beauty queen arh.... one of the contestant in Miss Singapore World... see she so fair now...I is jealous!!!
Oh, I got something from Shreen and Peishan!!
After competition, all of them went to rice table for dinner....
but I went to NYDC for dinner with sweetie...
