Bookworm club - Reading is Fun!

Been reading recently....

Now I'm reading this book call Something Blue by Emily Griffin.



I think this book is not bad, keeps me awake at night...hahaha
anyway this book is actually the 2nd book by Emily Griffin, her first book is Something borrowed



These two books are actually linked, nope they are not sequels...

The story is about two friends, Darcy and Rachael, who had a big fight because Rachael had fell for Darcy's bf and "stole" him from her. But but but Darcy herself is not much of an angel la, she also cheating on the bf lor....hoho....scandalous right
So basically the first book (something borrowed) was written with Rachael being the narrator and 2nd book (something blue) was from Darcy's perspective lor.

Today is my "last" day of work cuz froom tmr I will be on leave till after xmas!!! So I borrowed a few books from the library to do some reading for my holiday. I realised the books that I usually read are chick lit (tsk tsk tsk) and I think it's time for me to find something else to read. So after consulting Amazon.com and some of my friends and also checking what is available.... I've settled for....

Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance (recommended by Bob)
Life of Pi

I wonder if I will finish these books....
We'll see la...

Anyway, today my bf left for his Tibet trip and he's going to be away for 10days!!

This is the first time we're going to be away from each other for this long...okie, not that we have a really long r/s la...but still....you know..."first time"

Anyway, I have his Eeyore as "hostage"...Muhahahaha >=P

Xmas is coming!!

I am a happy ger!!

No more facilitation for this year and next week I'm on leave till end of xmas!!

Anyway, this year I decided to buy cupcakes as xmas presents for some of my colleagues...

This idea came from this newspaper article on online cupcakes sellers in singapore. I saw the pics of all the cupcakes they have and.... CUPCAKES are so so so PRETTY!!!
Well, so I went to a few websites they featured but didnt manage to place orders because some are fully booked, some I'm not sure how the ordering process is like....

But I managed to find another website Cupcake Momma to order my xmas presents ^_^

Alot of my colleagues say they cant bear to eat the cupcakes...haha

I spent quite some time delivering these cupcakes to my colleagues because all of them are seated at different building... -_-" it's a tough job delivering stuff to them *sigh*....It's nice to see people smile because of a small present you give... it makes me happy too!

I'll be off to bangkok next week and my boi boi will be away to tibet for the rest of the year....

He go tibet to Uhhmmmm..... I go bangkok and Wahhhh.....

It seems to me that some of my friends who had went for the marathon suffered for days after the run.... ~_~

Yea, I know, cheap thrill...but I am THAT suaku can or not.... ~_~

Anyway, I watched the first movie on my Ipod Nano!
I've got like tons of movies which I have no time (or patience rather) to watch...
With my new mobile entertainment box...I can watch bits of a movie when I'm travelling or waiting for ppl....

Yea,the screen isnt tat big...but at least I'm entertained...HOHO

Anyway, the movie I watched was...

Evan Almighty

Not too bad a movie.... but the parts that I enjoyed was those with all the animals helping Evan build the ark...

I especially like this dialogue in the movie where God was talking to Evan's wife. She was leaving Evan with their kids lor....she thinks that her husband is going *imitates Steven Lim* KuKu.... (shudders at the thought of Steven Lim)

So God told her this:

Let me ask you something. If someone prays for patience, you think God gives them patience? Or does he give them the opportunity to be patient? If he prayed for courage, does God give him courage, or does he give him opportunities to be courageous? If someone prayed for the family to be closer, do you think God zaps them with warm fuzzy feelings, or does he give them opportunities to love each other?

Wow! I thought it was something to think about....

Recently, I realise something...

"The more you want something the more you wont get it...."

Okie, so a while back I lost my camera, my phone and my mp3. Obviously all these will need replacement as they are absolute necessity of a modern woman...

Anyway, the first to be replacement is the phone...

As my contract is ending soon tat time, I was eying the Samsung U600.

The RED ONE!!!! I'm a sucker for slider phone too...

But... Singtel had a promotion for U700.... so
U600 - $298
U700 - $188

Sigh... so.... yea I took the better deal lor...


Anyway, it doesnt look tat bad la hor....actually it's quite nice
It doubles up as a mirror too!!! Haaa


So next to be replaced if my mp3 player...

Bf bought a ipod nano for my xmas present!!!


Been eying this red Nano.... Nice Nice hor...

But... didnt....
Well, the retail price for 8GB Ipod Nano is $348... then I saw DBS ibanking got a promotion selling it for $295!! But they dun have the red one.... apparently the red ipod is a special edition and can only get from Apple shop ba...

But BF didnt get from ibanking, got it at a promotion: $318 includes a silicon skin, AC adaptor, screen protector and eh... this Radio transmitter....

Well, I think it's a better deal than Ibanking lor...


Got the black one .... Heehee

Spent the whole afternoon yesterday playing with it...
I love it.... cuz

1) I can put lyrics inside!!
2) Can watch video!! but bf ask me dun watch too much cuz will get cross eye
3) It's so cute!!!

But hor, I need the right video format to transfer it into my ipod...
Heng I got a "Apple Helpdesk" --- Mr. Gerald

He found this freeaware which does a fabulous job to convert my videos to MPEG4!!
It can actually convert FLV file to MPEG4 le!!!
Gian or not???
