Vertical marathon 2007

25th Feb 2007, Sunday morning...
Beautiful Sunday and I have to wake up early early...sigh...

Anyway, it is the vertical marathon at

Republic Plaza!!!

The challenge?
Conquer 60 storeys!!!

My first Vertical Marathon was at Suntec 42 storeys...then after a while they change to Temasek Tower 52 storeys...now Republic Plaza 60 storeys...Shiok arh... *haha*

First thing on the agenda: Gotta go report lor....

The sports club hor very niao one... make us report like so early then gotta wait abt an hour for our race. But that gives me time to go bomb, eat breakfast and....eh tat's it... bomb and eat.... no warm up...haha

But wait... there's always time for....

About 45mins later.....

Liew.... 60storeys is no joke lor.....haha...okie I know I look very "fake" in the pic la
no talent to act ma....

After I reached the top, I was given this cold packet drink.... it's like the only thing you want after the 60 storeys lor....I took a sip...... I stopped and I looked at the packet drink....and my verdict is

gross!!

It looks like a normal sports drink....and it says

Made with fresh coconut juice
100% natural ingredients
rich in vitamin C

Sound normal ma....how come taste like this one....
Waaittt..... coconut juice??????
Why the hell would ppl put COCONUT juice in a sports drink eh??? yuck

Anyway... after the race... it's time to collect

The GOODIE BAG

Goodie bag is like the highlight of the event lor.... let's see wat goodies they have inside...

Cert lor...two small packets of twisties la, eh water lor, pasta, one blank CD, potatoe chip etc...
okie la...hehe nothing much but tat's not the point....

It is GOODIES.... me love goodie bags.... am I very kian peng?
haha.... it's liek you get a bag with goodies, then you will have a good time exploring wat is inside... then you see liao some you keep some you throw some can give you give lor...

After goodie bag... we gotta wait for the results to come out lor.... so started taking random pics la.....

Anyway, nicole suggested to go check out the California Fitness booth... so we end la... then I saw this kiap kiap they use to measure your percentage of fats...I very excited wanted to try try then the guy say we can go up and do a body anaylsis....

Yeeyee, so up we went!!!

well, I shall reveal the body anaylsis next tiem cuz now is late liao...and I want to quick quick finish this entry...and by saying this I already wasted abt 20secs....damnit!

so the guy actually told us abt the promotion of the membership lor, I very gian le... want to take those classes, yoga, dance etc....but nicole decided not to take it up...likevery impulsive so end up didnt lor....sob sob

guess we'll look around first lor...

so by the time we finally left the gym, the results are out!!!!

I took 12mins 23secs to climb 60 storeys.... the ger in front of me faster by 1sec.... ~_~ diao
Surf n sweat tat time I also got 10th le...hehe

so since I got prize, we waited for the prize presentation ceremony lor

Violet's 21st Birthday at Pitstop Cafe

Violet invited the NTU lifeguards to her 21st Birthday at Pitstop Cafe yesterday so Derrick, Nicole, Zhenquan and me went down.

Took a train down to Clarke Quay...

And here we are...... dear and me

We were walking round and round Clarke Quay looking for it then we realise it's the wrong place... it's at Boat Quay that side la...*bleah*

But while we were at Clarke Quay... I saw many interesting bars etc....and one that really caught my eye is...

Clinic C!!!

Quite interesting but abit morbid also le... and you see the bag in the picture? they say you drink your drinks from it one le!!!! wah... good thing that it is for you to drink from it and not have them poke inside you lor...haha

Would definitely go down one day!!!

Anyway, it took us quite a while to find our way there.....we actually overshot the cafe while walking along circular road....

and Finally.....

My first time to Pitstop and this place is quite happening!!

This is what they use to serve water....

Saw this water dispenser in shops and almost bought them hope but didnt cuz I think it'll juz take up space... maybe office??? I dunno.... Anyway, I was so excited abt it that I made a mess out of it... water juz keep flowing and I cant stop it... had to ask for help... and the friendly crew from pitstop gave me this advice "you gotta press it gently".... ah ha!! Gently is the keyword...hehe


So what is so special about Pitstop?
the GAMES of course!!!!

The cafe has a nice collection of boardgames that the customers can play while having their food and drinks.... oooh I likee....

So I went and started looking for a game to start....

About the game:

First we need to choose gifts to place on the board... then each of the players will have to look at the gifts and decide which gift they will give to the other players (of course the other players wont know what they got yet)

Then after that each player will have to look at the gifts and choose which gifts they want and which gift they dun want. After all these are done.... it's time to reveal what you got and whether you got you really wanted!

So you actually get points when you get the gift wanted and/or give the gift other people want.

First to get to the end wins!

Some of the gifts they have are quite interesting....Trip to the ice hotel, plasma TV, The Perfect Man, Sugar Daddy, Breakdancing lesson, Top 10 Best Seller, Foosball Table and alot alot more...

There this round where we have Dream Wedding as one of the gifts and guess wat? All the players including dear dear gave it to me!!! haha they are so sweet lor...but wait... Dream Wedding also turns out to be what my dear dear put as what he really wanted too... *hiak hiak*

and who did all the players give? my dear dear la!!! hahahahahaha

okie, next game we had was Cranium! (the adult version arh)

It was a tough fight.... Nicole and Derrick were leading for the longest time and somehow dear and me managed to catch up and we had to fight for the last move to win the game!!! and the last card I had to do was to act as Jackie Chan and dear dear has to guess who is it....hehe

Shopped the whole day and we're DEAD tired (not to mention BROKE too)...
