What a weekend

It's funny how things can change in such a short time...

Went to get my first PSP yesterday at Sim Lim....

Got the purple one since the red one is like $50 bucks more...

After that went for to Bedok Reservoir to see Dragon Boat race...
Just another Normal Saturday with my ah seng....

It's now no more.... I'm surprisingly calm after a huge sobbing session (ah siao now really really needs a bathe =P)... or is it an unusual calm before an unusual storm?

My Ubin Getaway!

School term is starting next week again *sigh*

Took two days off before holiday ends to re-charge myself!!
Initially I was contemplating a short trip to either Malacca or KL but thought maybe not cuz I scare I might get robbed (been reading quite some news of ppl getting into trouble in KL)

So I thought why not go Pulau Ubin instead. Wanted to get more people to go but I guess it was too last minute so in the end it was just me and my Ah Seng.

There's no shopping and no interesting food but I think it was still a GREAT trip (minus multiply by minus is positive!! the Wonders of Mathematics -_-")

Thursday Morning Ah Seng came to pick me up for our MacDonald Breakfast. I ordered Happy Meal cuz I'm collecting the Kung Fu Panda toys!! Argh, I missed out on the Tigress and I HAVE to find it... if anyone know where I can get it pleeasse pleeaasse let me know okie?

After breakfast we went to the MCC resort at Puggol to board our ferry. We were given a double storey room for some reason but I guess we can do with it? hehehe

Okie, so after inspecting the room (I thought there was some smell but Ah Seng insist there's no smelly smell... Maybe it's him...hmmmmm...) it's CYCLING time!! If you go Ubin, you MUST MUST MUST cycle... why? Because that's the ONLY fun thing you can do there =P (according to me of course)

So this is the Map of Ubin (which looks alot like a foot to me...)

Can you see that now?? Still cannot?? I'll use the 失传已久的Ubin无影脚 and kick you then you can feel it instead =P

Our first stop is, of course, to find food since the resort have hardly any food at all. Tsk tsk tsk....*shake head very disapprovingly*
We cycled to the Jetty there and it's a 15-min trip lor....


Ah Seng chose a Malay stall for Lunch and we ordered Mee Rebus and Mee Siam. Okie... I've never eaten either before and I dunno which one is which (Ah Seng suspect if I'm really a Singaporean...废话, of course LAH.... see the LAH???? That is SINGAPOREAN okie?!! Pfff....)

After lunch, it's time for a lazy afternoon nap...Zzzz
Hahaha.... no lah!!! (Lah again!! SIN-GA-PO Lang okie...) we went for some exploration of the Ubin island!!We found this secluded place near the jetty which is excellent to enjoy the afternoon seabreeze.


It's low tide and there's many small holes on the mud. Ah Seng tell me inside got crab and so we stood on a rock and waited. Sure enough, I saw small little crabs peeping out from time to time!! Wow!! I never seen that before le!!!

The crabs have one claw very much larger than the other one and they are actually fiddler crabs.
This is the type of fidder crab I saw.
Apparently they are very sensitive to movement. They will crawl out abit but once there's any movement nearby, they will retreat back into their mud holes. So it was really fun for me to sit there and wait for alot of them to come up and then start jump around and roaring at them... it's fun watching them scramble back to their holes...Eeehehehehe

So we cycled until around 2plus and went back to the resort for some light reading and a good LONG afternoon nap. Believe you me... Naps are the crux of a GOOD holiday!! Rushing everywhere and walk till your feet are dying, one toe at a time, is definitely not a Good Holiday to me.

After nap, it's time for Dinner!!Hohoho... We had our dinner at the jetty again but another stall that faces the sea. Well, I was reading this new book "The Tao of Pooh" and personally I think the author is a little too bias towards Taoism. Slamming others down to show another's superiority always turn me off. Heaps of past experiences and thoughts came while I was reading the book and it's like opening a can of worms and poor Ah Seng was the unfortunate victim. Btw, I think the Tao of Pooh is still a nice read.

Back to the resort, after we returned the bicycles (by the way, renting bicycle from the resort is like $10 can!! if you go to the jetty there, you can get one bicycle for $2 lor) we went to play see-saw and swing for a little while before sitting at the bench facing the sea to read and enjoy the seabreeze again.

Ah Seng is a Sunset Freak and wanted a good view of the sunset so we had to "relocate" lor.

After that it was TV time (Nothing much to watch, I miss Taiwan's TV shows) and we tahan until 10pm and finally cooked bowl noodles for supper. It was then that I realise there were no chopsticks -_-". So we had to improvise and use the plastic tea/coffee stirrers provided.

Then it was ZZZzzzz for 10 to 11hours (I think) before we packed up and had our pathetic breakfast (Cheese Biscuits and Milo) because there's NO food sold at the resort.

That's my Ubin trip.... not too bad hor...

Fetish with the nerdy tribe

I have a thing for guys who are slightly towards the nerdy side...

My current bf and the last few bfs all LOVE to read (and two of them are from NJC aka Nerd JC *hehehe*) Like what I shared with some of my friends before, I need a guy who is smart. Appearance isnt at the top of my list (I say not at the TOP, it doesnt mean it is NOT in the list), in fact I cant stand those guys who think they are the Adonis of this century and that all women in the world worships them *puke*

A smart guy isnt just someone who get a perfect score for his O levels, take God-knows how many S papers and score all Distinctions for A Levels. Someone who is smart (according to me arh) should be reasonaly well-read, has his own opinion on issues (come on, it's not juz woman who has no opinion, some guys have zero-opinions on alot of issues too) and of course he must be relatively eloquent as well.

Today I went for a colleague's wedding...

Everytime I go for a wedding, I feel so happy for the couple even if I dunno them well. I guess it's a big step and they both decide to take it together.

As I was saying about something I read in the 我是女王, the author talks about how some woman, after years of dating with their bf, broke up with them because they kept giving excuses why they are not ready to get married. Classic examples include "my career is not stable"; "I need to save up more" blah blah blah... and when the woman finally cant wait anymore and broke up with the guy, he got married within a year with another woman he met shortly after the breakup.

Well, the ONLY reason why he didnt want to marry you is....

After reading this, suddenly I remember a few cases of my friends who met guys that say they are not ready for a relationship blah blah blah (and one actually got married after like a year because shotgun lor).... to be brutally honest; the only reason why he is not willing to have a "real" relationship with you is that he does not love you enough.

There's a lifespan of a woman's youth and I guess it's pure selfishness of a guy not to consider that when dating someone in her prime. For goodness sake, if you don't love her enough to want to marry her (eventually) just let her go and don't waste her precious youth.

It's the Weekend!!

Today I have the whole office all by myself!! Everyone else is on leave (almost.. one colleague took half day off though). It's nice to do work with Friends playing at the background... (psst, I have a habit of "listening" to shows while doing work, in fact I'm listening to CSI now as I'm typing this!!)

Kungfu panda is out today!! The cinema was inundated by kids since it's the school holidays. I dooo not like kids.... esp the shrieking ones -_-"
The movie was superb, laughed through the entire movie. I am so going to get the VCD once it's out.

After movies, bf brought me to Sembawang park cuz I wanted to go play swing!! It's so hard to find a swing in Singapore nowadays. Quite some time back, bf brought me to West Coast to find swing but there was none then we went Kranji Reservoir a while back, the playgrounds were closed. Did some asking around and a colleague told me there's swings at Sembawang park.

Found the swings but there's two guys swinging lor, so we took a seat and waited. Those two guys kept talking and talking... I think they're around 15 to 17 yrs old... 小弟弟s so much things to talk one de
Finally it was my turn on the swing!! I think it's been at least 10+ years since I last sat on a swing... hmmm it's a long long time.

I pride myself as an adept swing-er, I can swing really high up, enough to shame most guys *hehe* but it was a long time ago....
Well, I did manage to swing up high but I THINK I felt a little queasy after some time on the swing -_-"

Tsk... want to blog alittle on something I read from the 我是女王 but my brain is now on critical battery mode...

Dear Diary...

Finally my bf is back from outer space...

It's nice to have him back... was getting a tad lonely without him around *可怜的女人*
We went to Suntec on Saturday to pak tor. When he reached my place at 9plus in the morning... I thought we're juz going somewhere nearby for breakfast before heading for town but nooo.... somehow I managed to get dressed and sit my lazy ass on my bf's bike.

First stop: MacDonald
MacDonald's happy meal toy is the characters from Kung Fu Panda. I got the Shifu and he's pretty funky....hehehe

Second stop: Movies
Well, Indiana Jones was quite a disappointment... and there wasn't any movie I wanted to watch in particular at the moment. Since Bf say want to watch Narnia, I comply lor.

It was definitely above my expectation ^_^ and now I feel like reading the books too!

There were quite some trailers of the upcoming movies before the movie starts and they all seem totally "watchable" =P



My Must-Watch Movie List

Since we're on the subject of Movies... I was walking out to the MRT with some of my colleagues the other day. She mentioned that she havent watch a movie for 6 months and this piece of information was received by a loud gasp by the other colleague. She say that everyone who has a bf/gf usually watches all the (good) movies once it's out, leaving all their unattached friends with no one to watch those movies with. Come to think about it, I do watch alot of movies with my bf. It's juz a typical sorta thing to do when you go out with your bf ma... I mean what else can you do in Singapore hur hur hur...

Fourth Stop: Lunch
Lunched at Fish & Co and for the first time of my life, I did not order seafood platter!! Haa... it's juz weird that everytime I go Fish & Co. I always end up having the same thing (ahh deja vu of my conservative appetite..pff)
Ordered the New York Fish n Chips and my oh my.... the Fish portion is HUMONGOUS!! But Fret Not as I'm amply prepared for times like this.... I have my bf with a bottomless stomach with me...hehehehe

Fifth Stop: Pickup my Hard disk
It was raining and I was too tired to go Sim Lim (so is my bf) so we end up picking up some magazines from Harris Bookshop and had a drink at Gelare.

And that's the most Interesting Part of my entire weekend. So much for that *sigh*
