okie, this week's been terrible cuz I had been going down to nus to do experiments... then sat is BBQ at arthur's place, with the biathlon team ppl. Had a good time though went a little earlier than I should. met a couple of friends from ac cross country there too...(come to think abt it now, I think there's some sotong-craving going on here now...)






and it was fun disturbing the biathlon team capt... he may be a gay pervert but I guess SNAG is more suitable now

Just another day....

Spent a boring day at IMRE doing my FYP expt...

I've been complaining so much abt my fyp, abt how sucky it is....I'll show you why...

This is the main topic of my FYP
It's call multi-channel quartz crystal microblance.... and you know how long this take me to fabricate? TWO DAYS!!!! In the clean room with those really stupid looking bunny suits...

So basically wat I need to do is to make it into a gas sensor.....blah blah blah...

Did a setup today to test my microbalance...


This setup took me like 2-3 hours.....
Before you go tsk tsk tsk on me.... why i take so long? It's already an uphill task to find all the necessary equipment and still the multi plugs and find powerpoint etc....the plug and cable is all over the bench!!

okie, so today I had to go lab and I had to wear shoes but how I got this stupid abrasion turned super-disguesting-wound.... so I had to put plaster on it, tat lab is so dirty, alot of chemicals and stuff...the last thing i Need is to get chemical on it....

When I got home, I took the plaster out....

And.....


The pus got stuck on the plaster and end up when I took out my plaster, the new skin also got pulled out....GROSS

SEE!!!...

Okie, enough of the nonsense....

Yesterday was the IVP Biathlon 2006 at Tanjong Beach, Sentosa...

Met sweetie at 6am to have breakfast at Mac then go down to Sentosa. This year's NUS biathlon seem to be much bigger event than I remembered two years back... didnt go last year cuz it clash with Vertical marathon...

It was quite crowded already when we reach...

Change, bomb, get body marking, prepare our transtion stuff, warm up.... soon we are all at the starting line... The IVP gers are going together with the IVP males and other open men....

This is the WORST open sea swim I ever had.... Let me see, I been to 2 Singapore biathlon, 2 NUS biathlon, Lifesaving Run swim run at Penang.... ok abt 5 open sea swim competition.... I was stuck all the way... kicked everywhere, pulled, tickled, EVERYTHING except for being molested...

Started off with frontcrawl but realise I wasnt going anywhere and alot of ppl is getting in the way so I started to do breast stroke.... manage to catch up with quite some ppl but when I reach the other side of the beach, had to run a bit, my legs felt like jelly... wah, think I better dun do so much kicking.... so tried to go back to frontcrawl again... but was stuck with these 2 guys who cant swim straight.... what luck is that!!! but cant blame them la... I also cant swim straight with front crawl even with the lanes at the swimming pool...haha

so basically on my way back, I swim and pause, swim and pause because these two guys either cut my way across or they juz swim into each other in front of me.... while eline, elayne and melvin are getting further and further...

When I reach the transtition area, eline and elayne juz finished transition and went off... I quickly put on my short and slipped into my shoes and took my race belt and ran off.... ay... never clean off the sand properly lor... got abrasion near my ankles... thought it was nothing but now it's a pus-flowing wound... very disgusting...



The run was okie... think the breakstroke was good idea cuz I felt tat my legs are pretty warmed up... ran past the guys who got me stuck in sea... saw all my team mates returning.... caught up with one nus ger... run time wasnt fantastic but the run felt quite good la.... abit regret never do mileage but never mind la, juz enjoy the race lor...

Finally finished the race... so happy...

Out of 13 IVP girls, I'm ranked 8th for swim, 8th for run and 7th for overall timing lor.... right in the middle.....okie la I guess....

It's National Lifesaving Competition 2005... the canoist wasnt able to make it so they ask if I want to go for fun....

I thought.... I canoed before...so why not? for the fun of it....

as it turned out, I did something really silly....haha

I cant canoe for nuts... going every direction except for the direction I wanted to go....it's okie....

Juz tat when everyone finishes the race, I'm still not halfway done... then come back also zig zag all over the place with everyone at the beach having a good view watching me....

at least I get "standing ovation" from ppl who are standing at the beach when I reach back FINALLY?

Valentine's Day!!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Had my biomaterials valentine's day quiz today and sigh sigh..........

First sigh --> kena conned by biopolymer lecturer, there was NO QUESTION on tat topic! Waste my time to study it!!!

Second sigh --> What I didnt study came out like half of the paper...ehz.. actually there was only 2 questions and one came out wat I didnt studied....

After the quiz I was quite tired already but I'm meeting my sweetie later in the evening....

Suppose to go JP for dinner but GOSH!!!!! There was queue EVERYWHERE!!!
Swensen, Pizza Hut, MOS burger, KFC.... EVERYWHERE!!! I thought the crowds will be in town.... haizz... so didnt manage to get any dinner there, end up going to a coffee shop near my place... Cheap and I dun have to queue!!

After dinner, it's time to chill at my place...

The pass few days has been kinda sad and it didnt help when I have my biomaterials quiz coming up on Valentine's day!!! Argh.....and I only started reading my notes yesterday and now when I look at my notes, I feel so miserable.... *teary teary*
