Bookworm club - Reading is Fun!

Been reading recently....

Now I'm reading this book call Something Blue by Emily Griffin.



I think this book is not bad, keeps me awake at night...hahaha
anyway this book is actually the 2nd book by Emily Griffin, her first book is Something borrowed



These two books are actually linked, nope they are not sequels...

The story is about two friends, Darcy and Rachael, who had a big fight because Rachael had fell for Darcy's bf and "stole" him from her. But but but Darcy herself is not much of an angel la, she also cheating on the bf lor....hoho....scandalous right
So basically the first book (something borrowed) was written with Rachael being the narrator and 2nd book (something blue) was from Darcy's perspective lor.

Today is my "last" day of work cuz froom tmr I will be on leave till after xmas!!! So I borrowed a few books from the library to do some reading for my holiday. I realised the books that I usually read are chick lit (tsk tsk tsk) and I think it's time for me to find something else to read. So after consulting Amazon.com and some of my friends and also checking what is available.... I've settled for....

Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance (recommended by Bob)
Life of Pi

I wonder if I will finish these books....
We'll see la...

Anyway, today my bf left for his Tibet trip and he's going to be away for 10days!!

This is the first time we're going to be away from each other for this long...okie, not that we have a really long r/s la...but still....you know..."first time"

Anyway, I have his Eeyore as "hostage"...Muhahahaha >=P

Xmas is coming!!

I am a happy ger!!

No more facilitation for this year and next week I'm on leave till end of xmas!!

Anyway, this year I decided to buy cupcakes as xmas presents for some of my colleagues...

This idea came from this newspaper article on online cupcakes sellers in singapore. I saw the pics of all the cupcakes they have and.... CUPCAKES are so so so PRETTY!!!
Well, so I went to a few websites they featured but didnt manage to place orders because some are fully booked, some I'm not sure how the ordering process is like....

But I managed to find another website Cupcake Momma to order my xmas presents ^_^

Alot of my colleagues say they cant bear to eat the cupcakes...haha

I spent quite some time delivering these cupcakes to my colleagues because all of them are seated at different building... -_-" it's a tough job delivering stuff to them *sigh*....It's nice to see people smile because of a small present you give... it makes me happy too!

I'll be off to bangkok next week and my boi boi will be away to tibet for the rest of the year....

He go tibet to Uhhmmmm..... I go bangkok and Wahhhh.....

Anyway, I watched the first movie on my Ipod Nano!
I've got like tons of movies which I have no time (or patience rather) to watch...
With my new mobile entertainment box...I can watch bits of a movie when I'm travelling or waiting for ppl....

Yea,the screen isnt tat big...but at least I'm entertained...HOHO

Anyway, the movie I watched was...

Evan Almighty

Not too bad a movie.... but the parts that I enjoyed was those with all the animals helping Evan build the ark...

I especially like this dialogue in the movie where God was talking to Evan's wife. She was leaving Evan with their kids lor....she thinks that her husband is going *imitates Steven Lim* KuKu.... (shudders at the thought of Steven Lim)

So God told her this:

Let me ask you something. If someone prays for patience, you think God gives them patience? Or does he give them the opportunity to be patient? If he prayed for courage, does God give him courage, or does he give him opportunities to be courageous? If someone prayed for the family to be closer, do you think God zaps them with warm fuzzy feelings, or does he give them opportunities to love each other?

Wow! I thought it was something to think about....

Recently, I realise something...

Okie, so a while back I lost my camera, my phone and my mp3. Obviously all these will need replacement as they are absolute necessity of a modern woman...

Anyway, the first to be replacement is the phone...

As my contract is ending soon tat time, I was eying the Samsung U600.

The RED ONE!!!! I'm a sucker for slider phone too...

But... Singtel had a promotion for U700.... so
U600 - $298
U700 - $188

Sigh... so.... yea I took the better deal lor...


Anyway, it doesnt look tat bad la hor....actually it's quite nice
It doubles up as a mirror too!!! Haaa


So next to be replaced if my mp3 player...

Bf bought a ipod nano for my xmas present!!!


Been eying this red Nano.... Nice Nice hor...

But... didnt....
Well, the retail price for 8GB Ipod Nano is $348... then I saw DBS ibanking got a promotion selling it for $295!! But they dun have the red one.... apparently the red ipod is a special edition and can only get from Apple shop ba...

But BF didnt get from ibanking, got it at a promotion: $318 includes a silicon skin, AC adaptor, screen protector and eh... this Radio transmitter....

Well, I think it's a better deal than Ibanking lor...


Got the black one .... Heehee

Spent the whole afternoon yesterday playing with it...
I love it.... cuz

1) I can put lyrics inside!!
2) Can watch video!! but bf ask me dun watch too much cuz will get cross eye
3) It's so cute!!!

But hor, I need the right video format to transfer it into my ipod...
Heng I got a "Apple Helpdesk" --- Mr. Gerald

He found this freeaware which does a fabulous job to convert my videos to MPEG4!!
It can actually convert FLV file to MPEG4 le!!!

Was talking to someone and he said that I don't have to be so sad....and that I'm not as strong as I used to be....

I thought about it...

Then it hit me...I dunno why am I sad over such silly things...

I'm not going to sit here and feel pity for myself, I'm going to enjoy myself spending time with people who enjoy my company. Life's too short to for me to sink into self-pity and bitterness.

So what if this r/s dun work? Then this is not the one I'm meant to be in.... I know I will be with someone who loves and treasure me....

I went down to Marina Square last wednesday after work....

Had dinner alone at Sakae Sushi and then started shopping around...
I didnt find anything or feel any urge to buy anything there and so I decided to go to Raffles Place Shopping Centre....

I was rather surprised that I couldnt find anything I want to buy but I refuse to go home without anything....*guilty guilty*

So I settled for something....

I enjoy reading Sophie Kinsella's books... I bought the whole shopaholic series


Bought all these books one short and finish them rather quickly...
I would read these books again and again, but my mum threw 2 of the books away. I really dun understand why she would throw my stuff away without checking with me first... >=|

Learning to live with it

I threw tantrum again today....

I think I'm a person who loves to hold on to the past.... I cannot let it go that easily....

Tempted to close this blog down and start another new one to forget about the past and move on....

But I decided to continue with this blog...
I will go on with my life with all my past and learn to live with it....


God, please grant me the serenity of mind to accept things that cannot be changed and the courage to live with it....Amen

Weekend....

It was supposed to be a happy weekend at Sentosa.... but I was alittle hurt by the short burst of hostility.

I know this kind of feeling a few years back...
I thought I had promise myself never to let myself get hurt by such things again?

It sometimes kills me that I can't share my feeling with the person I'm supposedly the closest to... if I do, it'll just turn ugly.....

I always thought if you genuninely care for the person, you would care about how that person is feeling.

I guess I'll just have to keep it inside for now....

Rainy day....

Had a rather siong day at work....

I think I took it out abit on my students.... felt alittle bad abt it now...

Work is a little overwhelming lately... I dunno if it is because I'm incapable or is it really alittle too much?


Anyway I lost my digital camera a while back....I have absolutely no idea how on earth can I lose it...

Strangely, I don't seem to want to use it lately....
Maybe this is a period of my life that I want to forget easily in the future....


Is it possible to be in a relationship but dun feel that you are in love?
Is there such a relationship that is more than friends but less than lovers?
I never know that a relationship can be so complicated....

Havent touch this blog for ages...

I'm was at a crossroad a while back and it took me alot alot of courage and pain to make a choice....

I had chosen an unfamiliar path that I cant seem to see a future in it....yet

Insecurity has found it way to my heart and I feel as if I'm all alone sometimes... I was flooded with alot of negative thoughts and felt like I'm falling into some sort of depression. I try to keep those thoughts and feelings inside but I'm only human (batman also human le...haha), there were times I really lost control....

Now, I think I've given up..... I've learnt to stop hoping for the future....

Someone once told me that if you don't hope, you wont be disappointed...
It's really sad....but now I think I'm starting to believe in it....

Just when I thought I'm finally moving on did I realise that it wasnt because the pain was gone...but because I've learnt to live with it....


It's interesting that just by sharing some thoughts and feelings can bring tears back to my eyes again...

Time to dry the tears.... next post would be a happy one.... I promise ^_^

Okie...had wanted to write abt my Singapore Biathlon last last sat but no time yet... Anyway a bo liao post first la....

A few months back I started to go for facial...
Got quite some spots on my face la...but last time student ma no money go facial no money buy anything la....so now must start to take care. I'm suppose to do clay mask every week lor but I'm like damn lazy...haha

Anyway since today I so guai and come straight home from work, I decided to do mask too!!!

Presenting to you this episode on "Jenny doing mask"

Step 1: Wash face then make sure all the hair is out of the face first....

Step 2: Gather all the ingredients!!!

Step 3: Prepare the mask!!! Put the clay mask powder in the bowl...

Add toner...

Add extra watever...

Mix!!

Step 4: Apply on your face!

On your right cheek...

Then on your left...

Okie, now I have a face full of "mud" liao

Step 5: Wait!!!!

tick tock...tick tock...

..tick tock....

tick tick tock tock....


10 minutes later.....


The mud hardens and I cant move my face liao if not crack arh,dun pray pray

Step 6: Soak sponge and clean off the clay!!

Clean off liao....

Most important is Step 7!!!

Actually the mask dun take very long to do hor...but I think I'm like the most lazy person in the world la....want pretty pretty cannot lazy lazy...
as the saying goes “这世界上没有丑女人，只有懒女人”---> translation is: there's no ugly woman in this world, only lazy woman....meaning if a woman ugly means she lazy to groom herself la.... you agree?
